Depression
Depression is a very common disorder that many people can recover from. Depression
lost the economics $210.5 billion due to mental illness. 80% of those treated for depression show
an improvement in symptoms within four to six weeks of starting treatment. Depression causes
mental, social, and health problems to a person.
Depression is a common but serious mood disorder. It causes severe symptoms that affect
how you feel, think, and handle daily activities, such as sleeping, eating , or working. To be
diagnosed with depression the symptoms must be present for at least two weeks. There are 4
different types of depression , one is Persistent Depression disorder which is a depressed mood
that lasts for at least two years, Postpartum Depression which is from anxiety and clears up
within two weeks after mother gives birth, Psychotic Depression occurs when a person has
severe depression plus some form psychosis such as having delusions or hearing or seeing
upsetting things known as hallucinations , Seasonal Affective disorder is characterized by the
onset of depression during the winter months.
