Do You Really Know What Christianity Is?
Christianity can have many different definitions, depending on whom you ask.
Webster's defines Christianity as “the religion derived from Jesus Christ, based on the Bible as sacred scripture, and professed by Eastern, Roman Catholic, and Protestant bodies”.
However, everyone has different indications and personal meanings for the religion. It can be found in many American communities, which plays a vital role for Americans. This particular religion has taught Americans to live with the fear of dying, to be against each other, and also to live for somebody else's expectations. I believe that Christianity is all just feigned and based on myths. Our founding fathers have structured a governing entity based on religion.
To further explain, Americans have turned to Christianity for wholeness. Christianity originated in connection to death by presenting a belief system that inflicts fear. The majority of Americans who follow Christianity as a way of life use the bible as a manual. Once Christians comprehended the circumstances of individuals in the bible and realized the wrath that would follow if they didn’t repent, it was inevitable to continue to live a wretched lifestyle and go to heaven. It put fear in them to make then want to change their way of living. They needed to know the reasons for death and what happens when they die.
By the same token, the bible has also taught Christians to live without fear, "Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble…, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you…. And the Lord is the one who goes ahead of you…. Do not fear, or be dismayed." (Deuteronomy 31:6,8). Meaning the Lord will be by your side through all your trials and tribulations so there is no need to worry but still aim for a holy lifestyle.
Likewise, Christianity has also taught Americans to follow beliefs in their particular religion and if they do not follow it rigorously, they will go to hell where they will suffer after death. The bible contradicts the beliefs of Christians because it states in the bible “ For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not. (Ecclesiastes 7:20). Christianity has taught Americans to believe that there is a heaven and hell. Heaven and hell are found within the person because, it is a spirit not a place. “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.” (Ecclesiastes 12:7). The beliefs of Christianity makes Americans believe that they are being watched by the omniscient eye of God, which makes them act in a certain manner to please God. The fear of hell is always on mankind’s brain, filling them with stress and nervousness, and this does not enable Americans to live fearlessly. Christian beliefs have put a distress over Americans way of living.
Moreover, Christians are living in a time threaten...
