In the movie, Dolores Huerta was a tough fighter for the United Farm Workers, she ascended to a role of a civil rights activist. She won very important battles against important agriculture leaders and political people The documentary "Dolores" also focuses so some other battles she fought even in the group that she cofounded (UFW). She could be considered as a hero for the movement of labor. The movie is engaging because it has some impressive interventions. Like Cesar Chaves Dolores is also considered an important figure when talking about the women's labor movement. I believe that the movie reflects a lot of accomplishments. It is amazing all the work she did during her earlier years. After establishing Huerta as "the most vocal activist you've never heard of," her early years building the organization that would become the UFW are dutifully captured, before the movie start the behind the scenes.
During the movie Dolores states that it was Huerta who came up with the UFW slogan "Si se puede," a motto that even President Barack Obama initially credited to Chavez. She also spoke out against abortion in early interviews. And she was pilloried, including by the Teamsters, for having 11 children with three men.
I liked that the film narrates Dolores' story in a plainspoken style. It is also amazing how the private life of a political figure...
