Students will not be allowed to use any tools, appliances, chemicals or other hazardous items unless this acknowledgment form is signed by both the student and their legal guardian. This form will cover all equipment used: mechanical, electrical, and hand tools. Please understand that the safety of the student is always the first concern in the Technology and Engineering Laboratory. The instructors and administration of the School reserve the right to decide who may or may not use the potentially hazardous items in the Technology and Engineering laboratory at any time. General Safety Rules:

Tools, machines, chemicals, and other hazardous items can only be used when the technology and engineering education instructor is present, permission has been received from the instructor, and the student has received instruction in its safety precautions. Equipment can only be used for its intended purpose and may only be used for school projects approved by the instructor.
Students must pass all lab and equipment safety tests with 100% accuracy. They must practice and adhere to all safety rules learned from these safety tests.
