In this article it seems that Elkind felt that technology could be considered both a blessing and a curse; a wall between the older and younger generations but also, a gateway to knowledge we earlier had no access to.
Digital Communications has impacted relationships in my life in many ways, more than even I know for sure. One way in particular that I find it has affected my life is that it has made my connection to certain people that much stronger, but the same could also be said for the select few of my contacts that I have a weaker connection to.
My connection with certain friends has strengthened exponentially, even gotten me closer than friends with afew past special ladies. Some friends, my connection has become so much stronger through social media and such, that I feel I can rely on them for anything I need in my life. My world has become a lot bigger, and more diverse thanks to digital communication, extending all the way to places like Japan, Russia, Ireland, Paris, and I even have an eskimo friend in Antarctica that I talk to at least once a week, whenever he has a connection.
