Undifferentiated schizophrenia has symptoms of many types of schizophrenia, but not enough to be any of those types. Next, residual schizophrenia is when a person has at least one episode of schizophrenia, but has not shown the necessary symptoms to be diagnosed with a particular schizophrenia. The active symptoms of schizophrenia must be present at least 6 months in a patient in order for the patient to be diagnosed with schizophrenia. Those are the main types of schizophrenias and their symptoms.Psychosis is a condition of the mind with delusions and hallucinations. People who have psychoses are not aware of what they are experiencing and or that what they believe is not real. Schizophrenia is a psychosis. Any hostility in the home should be eliminated. It has been shown through many studies that involving families in the care of a schizophrenic person leads to better results in their condition.Treatment is usually done using antipsychotic medications and sedation as first resorts. There are many different forms of these drugs, and it is up to the professional doctor on which ones they prescribe. Most of these medications take 2-4 weeks to take effect.Schizophrenia is a dangerous mental illness that affects many people.
