Hamilton and Jefferson EssayThe developments in creating the USA Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton have extremely different views on how the USA should be run. Jefferson is constantly stating that the government is not equal. And as for Hamilton, he believes the general population should run the government.Jefferson stats that "A democracy is nothing more than a mob rule where fifty-one present of the people may take away the rights of the other forty nine" (Document A). Jefferson strongly implies that this government which is running the USA is not equal and not everyone gets a say in what happens in there country. Jefferson strongly believes that a Democracy is far from the best government America should use. "Experience hath shown that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into Tyranny" (Document C). Jefferson is referring to the ones who have the most power in America, the ones who run the country. Jefferson uses the word "tyranny" to show the government is cruel and oppressive.Hamilton's opinion on how the government should be run is very different from Jefferson's. Hamilton believes the general, population, which means not equal, should run the government. "Constitutions should consist only of general provisions, the reason is that they must necessarily be permanent, and they cannot calculate for the possible change of things" (Document E). Hamilton also believes the only reason men do not like a democratic government is because they don't always get their way. "Men often oppose a thing merely because they have had no agency in planning it or because it may have been planned by those whom they dislike" (Document F).In the end, Jefferson and Hamilton's views are extremely different. Hamilton believes a Democratic government should run America, and Jefferson does not. AS for the impact they have on American itself was 50-50. Some believed Jefferson was right and some believe Hamilton is right. This created a Democracy and Communist government, for everyone to get his or her way.
