Jak Ernest Hemingway využívá okolní fyzické prostředí pro nastavení atmosféry v povídce Kočka v dešti?
Ernest Hemingway byl americký prozaik a publicista. Narodil se v roce 1899 a s narozen 1899. Stal se jedním z nejznámějších spisovatelů 20. století. Spáchal sebevraždu v roce 1961 po letech boje s alkoholismem a depresemi. Za první světové války byl těžce raněn, následně jezdil po italském bojišti se sanitním vozem a dál se přímo neúčastnil bojů. Byl součástí takzvanéPatří k takzvané Ztracené generacie mladých amerických autorů, kteří byli poznamenánizasaženi válkou a svou dobu prožívali jako kriziprocházeli krizí. Prózy kvůli tomu byly zaměřené na centralizované kolem témata jako skepse, zklamání a rozklad společenských hodnot. Hlavní hrdinové těchto próz se byli většinou ztráceliaceni v duševních dilematech o společnosti a jejích hodnotách. Nejistota se stává součástí příběhu.
Hemigway čtenářům často odhaluje pouze menší částjednu osminu děje přímo v příběhu e svých povídkách a zbytek je podtext, který se tématu týká, ale často těchto témat a čtenář je nucen si k němuim sám proniknout. Jeden ze způsobů, jak toho dosahuje, je nastavení prostředí. V této eseji budu popisovat specifické příklady toho, jak Ernest Hemingway nastavuje atmosféru s pomocí okolního fyzického prostředí v povídce Kočka v dešti.
Na první pohled je Kočka v dešti realistická a velmidocela povrchní povídka, která se zabývá se soustředí na dramatemizaci problému v lidských vztazíchhů. Nicméně jJeden z hlavníchnejdůležitějších aspektů atmosféry těchto vztahů je fyzické prostředí, ve kterém se příběh odehrává. Okolní prostředí povídky je popisováno v prvním odstavci, kde Hemingway popisujeužívá pochmurnost situace a využívá deštivé počasí v jinak tropické Itálii k navozenínastavení smutné až neuspokojující atmosféry v povídce.
