The Meaning and Importance of Friendship
I believe that friendship is the greatest thing a person can have in their life. My friends have gotten me through tough times when I needed someone to talk to, or when I was having a bad day. Also, the majority of my finest memories are with my best friends. My few best friends can be trusted with my biggest secrets. Therefore, I believe that true friendship can last forever, and is the most important value of mankind.
I started making friends almost right after I was born. I became friends with my cousins, teammates, neighbors, and classmates. When I was younger , many of my friendships came from preschool and meeting people at the park. Making new friends always put a smile on my face because I knew that I would have one more addition to a variety of people I could invite into my life.
The older that I get the more important and serious my friendships will become. Without friendship, my life would be uninteresting and lonesome. I would be completely lost without my friends because I would have nothing to do in my free time and would have no one to talk to in times of need. Friendship is what enhances life’s meaning, by which I mean the thought of these people makes you want to get out of bed every morning. That’s why I believe that treating my friends well and not taking them for granted is very important.
True friendship is worth keeping even if you’re one hundred or one thousand miles apart. I have friends that live all around the country and we still keep in touch. I went to an overnight camp at Loyola Chicago, in which people from all over the country came to gain experience on how to...
