Internet Crimes – Informative Speech
New times brings new crimes. Cybercrime is defined as any crime involving computers or computer networks. This can include online credit card fraud, identity theft, harassment and bullying, and the distribution of child pornography or any other illegal material. Today I’m going to talk about the history of cybercrime, the agents that are responsible for establishing justice in cases and how this can affect anyone.
Cybercrime begins as a way for hackers to break into computer networks either for fun or to access classified information. This led to the spread of viruses that were able to cripple and disrupt the computers’ network operations. This causes a malware to infiltrate the computer system without the owner’s consent and steals confidential information. As a matter of fact, this is very popular, now that there is no physically confrontation involved in the crime, and what I mean is that hacking happens behind computer screens. Some of the attackers are very clever and cautious about the time they leave their houses.
