A study conducted by Henderson, Crews, and Barlow (1945) discovered that some of the subjects on a paragraph comprehension test were distracted by popular music while the hard rock music had adverse effects on the vocabulary test scores. Wolf and Weiner (1972) conducted a study that concluded that there were certain significant differences between the performances of students on arithmetic tests who listened to hard rock music while studying and those who studied in softer music, or in complete silence. These differences were, however, attributed to habituation as most of the test subjects said that they listened to "hard rock" while studying. Differences in mathematic test scores were found with varying levels of music loudness by the study conducted by Wolfe (1983). Many subjects did claim that louder music caused their concentration to fall.In addition, while students are listening to rock music and at same time doing homework, their brains skip all important points of the learning, because hard rock is the type of music with strong sounds, which are distracted students from learning process. Until students do not understand how this music harmful for study process, they will skip all important information. So, if something interferes during the process, the final result does not reach normal indicators. In this case, the student's study performance decreases in fast pace. One researcher claims that music, which has enforced or sexually explicit lyrics can influence children's mood, behavior and social interactions, as well on students' school performance (Effects of Rap, 2009). While the singers are performing their talents, they used screams and shouting. All these things influence on students' study progress negatively.Experiment which was conducted by Daoussis and McKelvie (1986) found that, introverts and extroverts had different scores while doing tasks and listening to music. Scientists shared students into two groups with same number of extraverts and introverts to determine how music which has violent sounds affected on them. The first group did task while rock and roll music played, and second group did the task in silence. Their task was to read text twice and then answer the questions. The results of extraverts were same. Whiles, introverts scored different amount of right answers. Those who did task, while rock and roll music played, had low score. Accordingly, those who did task in silence reached high score. So music which has such kind of sounds effects on students not on the good way to listen in study achievements. At the same time, listening to music helps to learn. Music improves learning abilities. Music affects the process of learning and thinking. Quiet and soothing music helps you work faster and in a more efficient way. One research has shown that music brings about remarkable improvements in the academic skills of students, who are made to listen to certain kinds of music while studying or working in the l...
