Position: Human Resources Assistant

What do you do?
As a Human Resources Assistant, I will aid staff members in all aspects of Human Resources including attendance tracking, answering phones and responding to emails, performing data entry to maintain and update files, hiring and on-boarding, training new employees, assisting with employee relations, and so on. As one of the HR department, my objectives are not only providing a safety of the workforce, but also helping company developing an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance. For my own, my goals are continuous learning, success in leadership and a demonstrated ability to provide assistance to all department employees, while assisting the HR coordinator in all daily operations and special assignments to ensure the success of the operation and the HR Office. Moreover, I believe that lists and schedules are the best way to maintain order in any job. Therefore, I will maintain a detailed schedule for myself, not just manage the calendars of my supervisors. In this way, I will be able to meet deadlines and keep track of projects as they come up, and be able to factor in a little extra time each week to play catch-up in case unforeseen circumstances came up.

· As a junior, majors in the Human Resources Management in Michigan State University, I’m still learning various courses about the Human Resources Management and related fields. I also have general knowledge of various employment laws and practices, and the working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
