There are a tremendous variety of social networking websites, which give us the opportunity to get messages across without the intimacy of person-to-person communication. Media also educates us on the realities of what is going on around us. It can even educate us on basic rights and how we are supposed to go about using them. We have the ability to learn through the Internet, television, and radio. Children even use these means of media to educate themselves in new and fun ways. Despite the sometimes inaccurate information, it is incredible to see how drastically media has changed over time. Our society as a whole is reliant on the media's swift and efficient ways of generating news in an easily accessible manner.

Media has the power to completely alter society's perceptions and views of things. It is the primary source where society obtains both information and knowledge. Without media, we would be much less aware and knowledgeable about the world around us. Media has an influence on virtually every aspect of our lives because we are so reliant on it. It is generally the best way to spread knowledge and news. When means of media were being invented the lives of people officially changed for good. New technology and media gave people access to new and improved ways of understanding things in a fun and exciting way.
