So far, I found the lectures and the points illustrated by Mr.Shipley was very informative and interesting. As an engineer major, I have learned to understand and decode the basic concepts of certain system where my mind engages with fundamental principles of physics. Eventually, this course has broadened my knowledge on how the basic and fundamentals principles of the working-class people was founded on, to such an extent that I am aware on what principles and different facets of an archaic profit-making system I would be exploited to.
In early days as a college student, I wanted to bridge the economical side of industries and corporations to my program as I was keen to know on which basis and factors should a freshly graduated college student with no experience in this field would the salary be based on. Gradually, over the course of this lecture I noticed the media, the government and even the judiciary system, institutions that should be working independently without any external influences, were all rigged in some way just to keep the incentive of maximizing profit.
