Modern day business is more competitive than ever and success of one's business is boiled down to one thing, outsmarting the competitors. This is where a management team comes into play. In order to stay on the top, creativity and innovation are used to bring new plans for new ideas. "Applying fresh ideas is the most basic type of management planning while other organizations remain faithful to knowledge management, enterprising systems, and re-engineering which more than likely helped shaped their business over the years" (McNamara, 2007). Management has a responsibility to its workforce, but executives and upper management creates the atmosphere. The writer will make reference to corporate responsibility and how management plans with its workforce. Many organizations were used to encourage the thought the new ideas came from below, a very noble notion indeed. However, the danger lay ahead that the ideas were not going through upper-management. Thus, the idea was perceive as great if everyone throughout the organization thought it was great, not just the Chief Executive Officer. In order to plan out effective strategic plans or those are innovative in nature. They must first be approved and signed-off by senior management. This is the corporate responsibility that ensures that ideas lines up with the leadership focus in the organizations. New ideas and initiatives need ownerships, which's to champion the task. Managers must take to task, planning for strategic initiative must be surrounded by managers with passion for the business, and those below them.Managers must know that new ideas and improvements are key elements to an organization surviving in these cut-throat corporate days. Managers must believe in there plans, ideas, and action. Today's workplace is weary of changes and new ideas; it is the contemporary philosophy that change is not always good. However, well seasoned managers who are entrusted to high ethical values can see these ideas through, hence they have they experienced how difficult it is to bring out new change. The writer believes that in order to create a healthy environment for change, credit must be given to the frontline for initiating the need for change. In planning, managers must understand the corporate values, and culture. This will assist them in effectively communicating the need for change and will also apply to the end consumer.Management must implement their strategic plans at the right time.
