a research paper proposal, including list of possible sources; an annotated bibliography (10%)

Research Assignment:
Write about an issue or theme explored in one of our readings this semester. You may wish to examine the issue/theme in the context of one or more of the following perspectives: cultural, political, social, psychological, historical, economic, or gender-based. Including the text from one of our readings, the essay needs to use five sources for evidence. These sources must be either printed or from reputable books, journals, magazines, etc. found on The Brooklyn College Library online databases. One source may be a reputable Internet source, if you choose.
*DO NOT USE A PREVIOUS ESSAY AS IS. Choose a different theme/story/stories to explore, or if you must use a story from a previous essay, you must explore it from a fresh perspective/viewpoint.

The work of your initial proposal will be, not just to select, but to narrow your topic and suggest a research strategy.
