Executive Summary
This technical document describes the general network requirements for the Air-IT
Incorporated for providing a range of IT based hardware and services.
Air-IT Incorporated currently wants to focus on the challenge of struggling with
meeting the network requirements of a growing company and hence the need to a
major upgrade to the current network. This document covers all the requirements,
network scope, assumptions, objectives of the network. The company excels in
providing IT based hardware and services and has seen some notable growth in
business recently dye to popularity in networking and broadband in within the
business community and it is vital that the network design must be accordingly with
the growth and increase in more offices, staff and must be compatible and
accommodate the growing company for no less than 4 years.
This requirement report recounts the requirements for a complete rebuild of the
network of the company so it can meet the expectations for the growing need for
communication of the headquarters and other branches. Requirements such as each
admin staff having their own PC with research staff having 2PCs and connected to
the network with reliable connections. The consideration of the company plans to
increase the number of offices in the coming years and the network’s compatibility.
Notably, the company also provides Wi-Fi to the employees and the guests or the
general public and the admin staff visiting the premises.
The document also mentions security measures, printing facilities available and
connected to network for all the staff to use, use of communication tools by the staff,
different department staffs connected to the network through different servers. The
CRM server needs to be online at all times in order to avoid any loss of data.
