The past few weeks in class we discussed the past and present of the city of Newark and how it might have changed or not have change as much. During one of those weeks me and my group visited The Newark Public Library and spoke with two fellow librarians. Their names were Miss Quiana Collins and Miss Marsha Davis. We first spoke to Miss.Davis, we asked her the following question “Did she believe that Newark changed or not so much over the past couple years?” here are some exact quotes of how responded to our question.
“Yes, being here with kids they were babies and now they’re and they say, “Hey Miss. D you still working here?” The impact with the kids to have somewhere to go and they have stuff to do and yeah that’s that”
as well as for the city, she said “The city is developing and coming of age to other libraries in the area. We have children’s events that are ongoing everyone after school on the weekends; we have also have galas which it hopes to raise money for the library.” This what Miss. Davis had to say about Newark changing or not. But just from Miss. Davis statements you can clarify that the people only change in matters of age and schools but nothing else really change. as far as what Miss. Collins had to say she replied to same following question she replied saying.
“It changed. We have added a place where people come to the community events, it’s not just used as a library, it was as a community space, meetings and its more of the getting the companies involved in the library.” What I got out...
