Another essential role of a manager in an organization is motivation. Motivation also implies control and direction in a broad extent of management. A manager represents a leader or a coach in the football team. A coach job is to help and exercise the football players to win the game. In an organization, a manager motivates his/her employees through setting up attainable goal. This must be specific, in a timely manner and achievable. Then, assist them to create a detailed plan of action. Besides, as business goal is being accomplished, it's time to report progress or suggestion for improvement. Motivation is a lifelong business, thus, goals and objectives should be revisited regularly. Eventually, you can see empowered employee work with direction and focus. They usually generate quality work or excellent productivity.The third function of a manager is decision-making technique. Everyday, a manager have to deal with many situations involve choices. Management has to make precise decisions on staff recruitments, allocate resources, financial planning etc. It requires the skill of critical thinking. On the other hand, conflicts and disputes are common in the workplace. How to dissolve problems like this depends on a clear, impartial mind. A determined manager is able to narrow down, removing the misconceptions and bias.As I have mentioned at the beginning of the essay, human input is the most important element in the company. Because Organizational Behavior demonstrates the people factor in a business, it is the key to success in management.
