1. Concept: Stimulation as one of the ten universal values under Schwartz’s Value Theory Model. It is the action of arousing interest, enthusiasm, or excitement in something.
Application: In the Philippines I had worked almost nine (9) years as an accounting staff. I must admit that I got used to it and there were times that I was bored because as years gone by, the excitement to go to work went down. Now that I have decided to step up my professional career as an Accountant, I am determined to change my ways. Primarily, I will challenge myself on both individual and group activities with different cultures. Well, living in South Australia is already a test itself. I must be prepared in challenges such as cultural differences, language barriers, and social development to become a successful Accountant here. I know that it will take time but taking it as challenge instead of a burden will keep me going. Finally, I must keep the fire burning when it comes to learning new concepts and ideas in Accounting. The Accounting principles in the Philippines is different in Australia. My excitement in learning new ways and standards will keep my interest level moving high.
