Procedure
1. To figure out the percent composition of a sample, start by sorting all the items in the
Chex Mix bag in groups. Count each substance in the groups. When done counting all
in their separate groups now count them all together. Divide the number of snacks in
one group by the whole bag then times it by 100 to get a percent.
2. Clean the weigh boats that you will put the products in and place all in separate weigh
boats. Place on balance and find the mass of each group. After completing all masses
of each group, place in all one bag and weigh that bag to get the compound for the
entire Chex Mix snack. Divide each group by the whole of the bag. Times it by 100 to
get the percent composition.

1. Find the mass of the whole bag. Collect the data of the masses of each group after
categorizing. Divide each group by the whole of the bag. Times it by one hundred to
get your percent composition.
