Sherlock Holmes vs Sherlock
Sherlock Holmes is one of my favorite characters in fiction novels, movies, and shows. He uses his crazy personality in solving crimes, and the interesting and intellectual way of testing his hypothesis. There are two actors who that play Sherlock Holmes very well, Robert Downey Jr. and Benedict Cumberbatch. Robert Downey Jr. is an amazing Sherlock Holmes compared to Benedict Cumberbatch.
They are both great actors; however, Robert Downey Jr. has Sherlock’s personality down the best, and the timeline, that the movie is set in, is the right period. Robert Downey Jr. played Sherlock as this crazy scientist who solves murders, but he looked at everything closer, and he analyzed everything down to the last step to prove his predictions in the cases he is solving. In the movie, he was testing how the bad guy survived his hanging, and his partner Dr. John Watson walked in on him hanging himself; making Watson believe that he is dead, but he was showing how the bad guy survived the hanging. His version of Sherlock is very wild and crazy which shows him solve the crimes in his crazy and fun way. It is unique, and there is no other Sherlock Holmes as crazy as Robert. His way of playing Sherlock is very creative and fun. He made the movie so great and entertaining. Robert is also just an amazing actor. His role as Tony Stark was so great, and he can play the crazy smart genius roles. Iron Man movies have to be one of his best movies he has ever acted in because he is a genuine intelligent man. His best role before Iron Man was Sherlock Holmes because you got to see him play as such an intelligent man who can solve anything, and he can help anyone with their troubles. He also is great as playing characters who can get crime off the street. He will also find the bad guys, and he puts an end to them. He will not let crime win at all because he is a hero as both Iron Man and Sherlock Holmes. Sherlock Holmes is a great character because he is crazy and funny. He can never solve crimes just as a normal detective, and it is very entertaining because detectives should solve crimes in a unique and crazy way. Most detectives are boring, and they follow the rules and solve crimes in such lame ways. He also really doesn’t use weapons to fight. He uses his fist, or he uses objects he can find. He can also anticipate his opponents moves before they even make them. Therefore, Robert Downey Jr. is such an amazing Sherlock Holmes.
Benedict Cumberbatch does play Sherlock Holmes very well in the show Sherlock; however, you cannot get the full crazy personality of Sherlock Holmes from him in the show. The period he is in is not the right period at all. It is set in modern time, and it is not back in the early 1800s when the story is set. He does play Sherlock Holmes, but he is not as crazy and creative as Robert Downey Jr’s Sherlock Holmes. He has the right addiction in the show because Sherlock Holmes...
