Should High School Students Have A Part-time Job? - None - Essay

549 words - 3 pages

Having a part-time job has become popular amongst high school students. It is believed that students in high school should do a part-time job while the others argue that they shouldn’t have one and should focus on their study instead. In my opinion, students shouldn’t have a part-time job when they are in high school because when they do a part-time job, they cannot concentrate on their study, they don’t have enough time to complete their homework and assignments, and they are not old enough to have a job.
To commence with, high school students cannot pay attention to their study if they have a part-time job. Things happenning at their work place distract their mind of study a lot and they probably neglect what their teachers taught them in class. For example, a student may focus on earning money for his new shoes and forget what he is learning at school. Besides, students in high school don’t have strong endurance against pressure, so they probably feel tired and lose their focus on school work. Eventually, they may leave for school to pursue their job at a young age with lack of essential skills and it is a high chance for them to have an unsteady job in the future.
Furthermore, students don’t have enough time to do their homework and assignments since they are too busy with their job. Most high school students are not able to manage their time on study and entertainment properly. If they do a part-time job, the situation even gets worse as they also have to manage their time on work. Students in high school ...
