Section 1.
From Chapter 2, what part of the brain is responsible for remembering the important information that will be on the exam? Describe that part of the brain and its purpose. Deep inside the medical temporal lobe is the region of the brain known as the limbic system which includes the hippocampus, the amygdala, the cingulate gyrus, the thalamus, the hypothalamus, the epithalamus, the mammillary body and other organs, many of which are of particular relevance to the processing of memory. I honestly think it’s a habit for her to check what’s going on with her friends.
For your friend is age 65, and having a hard time with vocabulary, explain what may be happening that prevents her from doing well on this type of activity. How could she improve?
