Why Use Technology in the Classroom?
1. What is technology integration?
The teacher will design experiences that make students use technology as a part of their learning activities in ways that make learning more active, collaborative, constructive, authentic, and engaging.
2. What are five reasons teachers should integrate technology in their classrooms? (List)

3. Describe each of the 21st century skills below and explain why each of these is important for students to have? (points will be deducted if you do not describe and explain why.)
a. Creativity – Using what you know and originality to make new ideas and products.
Explanation: This is an important skill for a student to have so they can create ideas to possibly help them problem solve or make something helpful to them and their peers.
b. Innovation – Acting on your creative ability to actually help society and people around them.
Explanation: They need the skills to help and actually contribute to society in and out of the classroom.
c. Communication – The ability to speak your thoughts in a way that makes sense and is helpful using different kinds of media and technology.
Explanation: Students need this skill to reach out to different types of people while getting their point across that makes sense to everybody.
d. Collaboration – Being able to work together with others to solve problems and other tasks even though you may not think exactly alike.
Explanation: Students need this skill because they will face this every day in the workplace and in the real world.
e. Research and Information Literacy – Ability to find and analyze information for what is needed, and to be able to locate, evaluate, synthesize, and use information where it needs to be used.
Explanation: Students need this skill to be able to obtain and understand the overwhelming amount of information available today, while also being able to apply it to what they need to do.
