First, find the large metal scoop attached to your machine and remove it; this is called the doser with a tablespoon of espresso and pack it down firmly. Next, replace your doser in the machine and push the start button. A well packed espresso wil take between 15 and 20 seconds to make and the results will be a brown liquid coffee. This coffee will have two layers;a dark brown base and a lighter brown top called the crema. The next step is to take your milk and pour half a cup into the cappuccino machine's metal container. Place the wand into the milk and turn on the steam button. As you move the metal container slowly, in an up and down motion the milk will begin to rise and have a thick texture. Soon you will hear a hissing sound this process is known as frothing the milk. Finally, you are ready to add the espresso and the milk into your cappuccino mug. Pour the espresso in first, followed by the milk, but be sure to hold back the froth part of the milk by using a spoon to drain the liquid. After you have combined the liquids, begin spooning the frothed milk into the top of the beverage. For uniqueness and flavor, a dollop of whipped cream and a aprinkle of cinnamon can be added. You have created the perfect homemade cappuccino. The final step; enjoy it.
