" (1) Through the organizing process management will determine the internal functions, establish and maintain relationships, and provide the necessary resources. This process also allows for the distribution of authority and responsibilities. Because of the current economic environment planning has become a significant part of our branch remaining profitable. All our routes flex with the need to remain profitable for corporate management which is based in San Leandro, California. The Portland Branch is very well organized under the leadership of Christine Jacobson.Leading or directing is influencing behavior through motivation, communication, group dynamics, and discipline. The purpose of leading is manage and channel behaviorsof the personnel to accomplish the company's mission and objectives while at the sametime helping them accomplish their own career objectives. Communication skills and behaviors are significant part of leading. There is importance in maintaining a productive work environment in which those that are highly provoked and motivated generally surpass in their job performance which in turn, plays an important role in achieving the company's goals. Our branch manager is our leader and manages the staff using a team approach in order to accomplish the assorted tasks on a daily and sometimes minute to minute basis.
