Noah, an average eleven-year-old boy, lived in a poor family household. He lived with his aunt and uncle since his parents passed away when he was eight years old. He had a few cousins, but they all hated him. He considered his aunt and uncle as his parents and loved them both dearly. Sometimes, he would even call his aunt and uncle mother and father. He wouldn't know what to do if his beloved parents left him.
Since he lived in a poor household, it was hard to have a decent meal, a good pair of shoes, and proper education. Even with the lack of supplies, he managed to still feel grateful. A lot of that gratitude came from his most prized possession, Genie, his pet bunny.
Noah loved to spend time with Genie. Genie helped Noah through his toughest times and kept him company during the night. Noah would occasionally talk to Genie as if he was a human. He was Noah's best and only friend.
One day, Noah was home alone. Not knowing what to do, he started talking to Genie until he heard a voice. He looked around, wondering who was there while holding onto Genie. Genie looked at him and said, "It was me, your pet bunny, Genie." Shocked, Noah looked down at Genie with a face of confusion. "YOU CAN TALK? !" Noah said. Genie then gave a chuckle, "I was born with the ability to talk. I was planning to talk to you on a day you were home alone. The day finally came." Noah, gasping as if he couldn't fill his lungs with air, blacked out.
He awakened after five minutes and uttered, "Are you really capable of talking, or was I just dreaming?" Genie stared into his eyes and said, "What do you think?" Although Noah was shocked, he felt excitement at the same time. He finally has someone to converse with. They talked for a while until Genie felt that it was time to reveal his top-secret power.
