Research Paper Outline
A. Hook- Community Policing brings citizens and police together to solve neighborhood problems and prevent crime. With community policing, the idea is having the emphasis on stopping crime before it even occurs. Community policing gives the citizens a better grasp and control over the quality of their lives in the community.

B. Background Information- The help of the community's citizens is crucial to build a safe Environment in which they could live in without any worries of danger such as murderers, drugs, rapist, and the list goes on.
C. Thesis: Community policing is an effective way to promote public safety and to
immensely enhance the quality of life in a community. Community policing definitely plays a pivotal role in the defining elements of policing such as problem solving and police community relations. Citizens such as students coming home from school can take part by implementing programs for example a neighborhood watch, citizen surveys, and the list goes on. Citizens can find a plethora of way to get involved in the community policing.
A. Topic sentence: Some of the largest obstacles that police organizations face with the community policing program are the initial implementation and understanding of community policing, the ability to change and adapt to the new format of policing, and the acceptance of the community policing program by the public.
B. Evidence- “Police departments around the country are now feeling the pressures of implementation from citizens and local government officials for a community based policing system.”
