Did you know that 70% of people, when they see a food commercial, or any commercial that involves a celebrity, they go and buy it. That is called celebrity endorsement. Gatorade gets people to buy their product by celebrity endorsement and they use great animation like colors that makes you want to buy their product. Gatorade and other companies also use ethos, logos, pathos, logical fallacies, propaganda, persuasion, etc.. One Gatorade commercial uses celebrity endorsement while the other uses animations.
The first Gatorade advertisement shows Cristiano Ronaldo who is a soccer player shooting a ball on water goalkeeper and scoring, so they are trying to tell you if you want to be like Ronaldo and score so easily to the point where goalkeepers are like water, then drink Gatorade. So here they are using celebrity endorsement, logical fallacies, and propaganda
They used transfer and testimonial which are types of propaganda, they basically mean when someone refers to someone or something that are highly respected or has authority. For logical fallacy they used bandwagon which if a celebrity and everyone is doing then so should I. On the other hand the second Gatorade commercial is about a Gatorade bottle racing a water bottle and winning, so there saying if you want to win drink Gatorade not water.
