Vitamin C
Do you think vitamin c is essential in the body's defenses against diseases? The World we
live in a state of constant fear of diseases. Plants and some animals make their own Vitamin C,
but humans do not. For this reason, humans need to seek Vitamin C from other sources. Vitamin
C also helps with the growth and repair of tissues in all parts of your body. It helps the body
makes an important protein used to make skin, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, and blood vessels.
Vitamin C is needed for healing wounds, and for repairing and maintaining bones and
teeth.Vitamin C can get it from the food like fruits and we can also get Vitamin C tables.
Vitamin C helps with lots of things but things I will be talking about in paper will be how it helps
with common cold, mental health (stress) and cancer. Vitamin C is an extremely beneficial on
treating the common cold and mental health, but not for cancer.
In the articles Psychology today,​ ​the author points out that people with high level of
stress hormone and high blood pressure are those who didn't get the vitamins. They insists that
People who have high levels of vitamin C do not show the expected mental and physical signs of
stress when subjected to acute psychological challenges. Stress is so common in our lives that we
don’t even know how it is affecting our mental health and physical health. For example in a
Students life they juggle part time jobs, worry about assignments and stress about the future and
how to make the next step. Trying to manage all these things at once can leave you feeling
stressed.
On the other hand, according to Tara Parker-Pope points out that many people get big
doses of vitamin C to improve their health. Pope reports that vitamin C not only protect the

healthy cells, but cancer cells too. She notes that the researchers found out only that cancer cells
are also benefiting from vitamin C. She explains that patients that have cancer should eat vitamin
C in food rather than the tablet vitamin C. There have been studies done on vitamin C and how it
can help cancer but there is proof in this article that show vitamin C can help fight cancer.
The Yvette C Terrie discusses that common cold can be cure by vitamin C. There are
experimental studies indicating that vitamin C may have effects on the immune system.
However, it is not known to what extent for example, whether vitamin C intake in particular
