Why Antonio Brown Is A Hero - Essay

648 words - 3 pages

A hero is someone people can look up to for advice and be helpful to people when they are struggling. A hero should be inspiring to people across the world. The hero should be a good role model for young people. Antonio Brown is a great inspiration to a large community of his supporters and followers, who he motivates to work hard. The three reasons I think Antonio Brown is a hero are that he is very generous overcame many obstacles throughout his life to be where he is today, and he’s a very inspirational person.
The first reason Antonio Brown is one of my heroes is that he’s very generous. Back in 2016, around Christmas, he donated $100,000 to the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. He said he wanted the children treated to have an unforgettable Christmas. Brown said, “It’s a blessing for the kids who might be in an unfortunate situation.” He also donated 800 backpacks filled with school supplies to kids in Pittsburgh. This will benefit the parents who can’t afford to buy their kid's school supplies. In December 2017, he gave 84 children $200 gift cards to Champs as part of a shopping spree. “Seeing a person like Antonio take the time to meet them and reward them for working hard is special, " an education innovator said. As you can see, Antonio Brown is one of my heroes because he’s very generous.
The second reason why Antonio Brown is one of the heroes that I look up to is that he has overcome many obstacles throughout his life to be where he is today. In a game against the New England Patriots in December 2017, he suffered a partially torn calf muscle injury. The injury was bothering him a lot, and there’s a video of him struggling to climb his stairs. But somehow, he returned just in time for the playoffs, where he got seven catches, 132 receiv...
