IrMenu is a program that allows you to navigate a text menu using a remote control supported by lirc, the infrared remote control daemon. Prompts are displayed (that is, spoken) using your favorite text- to-speech program, such as IBM ViaVoice or festival. It is particularly useful for headless (no monitor attached) systems, such as firewall/gateways or home/car MP3 players.
