The Death Penalty
The Death Penalty, also known as capital punishment, by definition, is the punishment of execution, administered to someone convicted of capital crime. Many Countries have made this punishment illegal because it is morally and ethically wrong; however the majority of states in the U. S. have not. I believe that capital punishment should be illegal in the United States of America, because I believe it is wrong to kill a person. It's ironic that most of the people on death row are there because they killed someone, and now they are being killed; an eye for an eye, but both are left half blind.
Capital punishment in the United States is limited under the Eighth Amendment to the United States Constitution to cases of; homicide, crimes against the state, and crimes against humanity committed by mentally competent adults.
Mentally competent means possessing the necessary reasoning abilities.
Crimes against humanity are abhorrent and horrid offenses that constitute a austere attack on human dignity or grave humiliation or a degradation of one or more human beings; such as the Nazis murdering 6, 000, 000 Jews, and/or the terrorist attacks on the trade center and pentagon.
Crimes against state are serious offenses (such as treason, rebellion, or sedition) committed against a national government.
Homicide is the deliberate and unlawful killing of one person by another; murder. Murder is defined by degrees; Murder in the 3rd degree; an accidental killing where there are unusual circumstances. Now this is referred to as manslaughter, circumstances determine the penalty. This is not a capital crime.
Murder in the 2nd degree; the crime of passion. This is usually punished by time in prison to life in prison, and sometimes, but very rarely, punished by death.
Capital offenses include but aren't limited to:
Murder in the first degree - The planned, premeditated murder of another person; Treason in time of war.
Espionage in time of war.
Cowardice and fleeing in the face of the enemy in time of war.
Killing a police officer in the commission of a felony.
Killing a kidnap victim.
Killing a carjack victim.

A human (not by definition) is a spectacular creature who has the ability to feel deep complex emotions such as anger or love. Anger is to feel a mixture of mad and hatred toward someone or something that is commonly fueled by frustration, confusion, and the feeling of betrayal. Love is to care for someone very deeply; to be in love is to have feelings of romantic affection for someone, while to love someone is to deeply care and have affections, but not romantical...
