Individuals are often hesitant when it comes to making big moves; this is usually because of his or her feelings about the government. According to a study conducted in 2012, a large amount of the population is starting to lose confidence in the government (O'Connor, Sabato and, Yanus 19). A poll, also conducted in 2012, shows that more than seven in ten American citizens believe that America is not going in the right direction (O'Connor, Sabato and, Yanus 19). It is becoming more challenging to go to college, and pay back student loans due to the increasing tuition fees. In addition, it is becoming more difficult to get high-paying jobs; people are settling for jobs they are overqualified for (O'Connor, Sabato and, Yanus 20). Due to the growing population, there are fewer jobs available. People tend to stick with undesirable jobs but are too afraid to let it go due to the lack of available jobs.
