Purpose of Assignment As health care professionals, you will be delivering care as a member of an inter-professional team or working with other nurses in intra-professional teams. Effective teamwork is critical to provide holistic, high quality and safe care to clients and families. An essential component in establishing collegial relationships is to understand the roles of other professionals and their unique discipline-specific perspectives. You will have the opportunity to compare and contrast the roles and discipline specific aspects of other health professionals of the healthcare team to the generalist nurse (R. N. ).
Objective: increase student awareness of the professional members of the health care team they will be working with as a holistic nurse professional.

Assignment Overview
1. Sign-up for an Inter or Intra Health Care Professional team member that you would like to learn more about.
2. Submit an outline of your paper focus covering the chosen Health Care Professional team member that includes the guideline specific profession information.
3. Submit a draft for course faculty review. Utilization of campus Academic Success services is encouraged. Focus on appropriate APA format and university/course writing rubric.
3. Submit a 5 page paper in APA format on chosen Health Care Professional team member based on assignment guidelines. If you feel you need a page or two longer to complete this assignment best, then that is acceptable! (7 pages maximum) 4. Present a five-minute PowerPoint Oral Presentation to the class on the Health Care Professional team member researched that summarizes the assignment guideline information.
