Romeo and Juliet v.s. Gnomeo and Juliet: Similarities and Differences
Shakespeare is a very well- known writer. His literature is read all around the world. One
of his most well known piece of literature is Romeo and Juliet. This story is a tragic story of the
feuds between two families that lead to the death of two “star- crossed” lovers. There are many
story, movies, etc, that are based off this story. An example of this is the movie Gnomeo and
Juliet. This movie is very similar to the story, but does have some differences. The major
differences between them is that in the movie, “Gnomeo and Juliet” are gnomes in a garden, will
in the book they are actual human beings.
In both the movie and the story Romeo and Juliet are from two different feuding families.
The family that Juliet is on is the Capulets. Romeo is from the Montague family. In The movie
they meet on top of a garden building, will in book they first meet at a party. In both the movie
