Cover Letter While write this summary & analysis paper the thing that I think was working well was that I knew what I was doing. The reason I believe this is because everything of how the essay should have been done was clearly explain during class and in the outline. I think also, because I was working in it in sections. For example for one day in class I had to do part of the essay. Then for another day I needed to do another part and like this was much easier. Another thing would be that I would read the article more in detail. Despite it's my first essay I write again after a year and half I feel confident but at same time nervous. I feel confident because I was able to write what I was "supposed" to write. However, I'm nervous too because I don't if I did correctly because I feel I needed more time to fix several things. I hope I meet the required standards need for the essay. If not will need to try harder next time and if I don't understand something, ask for help. Anzaldua acknowledge about people who are neither Spanish nor live in a country in which it is the first language; for people who live in a country in which English is the native tongue but who are not Anglo. For people who can't fully identify with either standard Spanish nor standard English. She mentions how they are criticizing by both sides and even their own heritage. How the Anglo want them to forget their native language and speak standard English. Anzaldua emphasizes the importance to have their own language their identity, a language that mixes a little of both. Anzaldua uses interjections of Spanish and personal anecdotes to show the strong relationship between language and identity. That one's language must be preserved and celebrated in to appreciate, and have pride in it and not be ashamed. Meaning that if someone choses to immigrate to the U.S, they should embrace the langue and culture in order to be accepted.
