Having fun with my friends and going to familiar places was great when living in Louisiana. I remember being able to visit my family members whenever I wanted without having to travel long distances. Going to school knowing everyone and not feeling left out. Being able to know all of the surrounding towns and the activities they bring. Moving ended all of the familiarity, and my life took a new start.

I was always shy, even living in Louisiana, moving to Texas brought that shyness to a whole new level. On the first day at my new school, everything seemed so bad the school I transferred to was bigger than any school that I had attended in my life. During the school days, the hallways were so crowded there were students at every corner. I felt like I would never be able to make new friends, being shy did not help with finding new friends to have conversations with or hang with on weekends. I quickly wanted to move back and go to my old school and be with my friends and family in Louisiana. My parents always would tell me that I would make friends no matter where I lived or went to school because there are people who like the same activities that I love.

Living in a new neighborhood had the worst effect on me. I used to meet up with friends and play different sports, such as Football, basketball, and baseball, but in the new neighborhood, there was no one that I could hang with.
