The active reading today just talk about skills you need when reading and working in college. In the book it shows different categories that you need. Such as preview the reading mainly saying go over what you are reading, read the piece, finding the main point and support. Mainly just identifying the main point and support the reading. The main point of a reading is the major message that the writer wants you to understand.
Building your vocabulary you to understand everything you read and to write better papers in college courses the instructor is rather than just remember and repeat it. The three main point that stood out to me were improving your paragraph its breaks down into different parts helping you improve your writing more. Such as revision meaning revise your writing with fresh eyes and think about how to improve it. Another point that too out to me is that the developing comparison and the contrast cause and things.
