The author of this book is Marie Lu. Marie Lu is the art director at Online Alchemy, a video game company, and also owns the business and brand Fuzz Academy. She lives in Los Angeles, California. She is best known for the Legend trilogy, the 1st book Legend ended where June and Day are escaping from the Republic in Los Angeles trying to find the Patriots in Las Vegas. The genre of the Legend Series is a young adult fiction, utopian and dystopian fiction.
In my recommendation you should read this book because of how interesting and fun it was to read. It was a great follow up to the first book of the trilogy, Legend.
The setting of Prodigy is a war between: the Republic and the Colonies of future day America. The story starts out where Day and June manage to hop a train bound for Las Vegas. Where they are trying to locate the rebellious Patriots and beg for help. The Patriots are their only hope in finding Tess and Day’s brother. Day also needs medical attention for his gunshot wound. Just as they arrive in Las Vegas, a major announcement is shown on jumbotrons located on the Strip. They show that the Republic Elector has died and his young son, Anden, is taking over as the new Elector. Day and June don’t realize how much this will affect them until they meet w...
