The Argument of Transgender Sports
The argument of transgender sports is becoming very heated, there seem to be only 2 possible opinions, one is taken by a transgender female, Katelyn Burns. Who herself fell in love with sports yet still struggled with identity. On the other side there is Bob Cohen, a political commentator and writer. He takes the side of the obvious advantages creating an unfair sport that transgender females have over normal females.
Katelyn Burns, had an interesting story. She has always loved sports whether it basketball or soccer, however she's never felt comfortable in her own skin. She always wanted to be a girl and never fit in with the guys. Until she was later in her teens, she never told anyone about her lack of identity. At the age 17 she finally told her mom of it and her mom was fully supportive. However katelyn was still skeptical about going through the change because of her love for sports. She realized that she would be unable to match up with the guys once she did, and she wouldn't be allowed to play for any girls team after that either. It was a permanent change she wasn't sure if she wanted. She doesn't want the paradox of choosing identity over sports.
On the other side is commentator Bob Cohen a man who takes a less emotional route and focuses more on the inherent danger of men fighting women in specifically the MMA. Joe Rogan, who is a UFC commentator, and comedian has a very strong opinion on it, he stressed how men when they mature, do so with a bigger bone structure and larger hands and bigger shoulder joints. They simply don't have the same body type as a biological fema...
