Challenges
Before I came to college, I did not anticipate how much responsibility and obligations it comes with. I was so busy thinking, “I can’t wait to become an adult”, “I can’t wait to do what I want when I want”, “College is going to be so much fun” not realizing that it will be a challenge for me or anyone. Now I’ve been college for six weeks and I was definitely oblivious to the reality of it. Of course, I didn’t think it was going to be a piece of cake, but I definitely didn’t think it was going to be like climbing Mount Everest. Literal speaking, my first couple exams revealed to me that I needed a wakeup call. Either I have to make school a number one priority or there is no way that I will succeed. Also, beyond academics, finding what type of person you want to be and how you would like others to view you is another challenge itself but worth figuring out.
The challenges I have faced recently are cram studying, procrastination, college algebra, my standards. First off, yes, cram studying most of the time will not lead to a positive outcome. Cram studying did work fine for me in high school but transitioning to the real world not so much. I will overcome this problem by studying in advance prior to my test dates. I wish I was one of those people who could just go to class not have to take notes and just listen and be able to remember everything my teacher says but I will promptly have to do work outside of class to make exceptional grades. Secondly, I procrastinate with a passion. It’s very bad and I want to change. I will have to, or I will not get anywhere in life...
